Travel & Leisure cites InTouch Travel 's ability
to connect travelers with local culture

Seattle, WA – (May 7, 2007) – Travel & Leisure magazine's May, 2007, issue features InTouch Travel's unique cultural vacations for travelers seeking what the magazine terms “elusive insider secrets.”

The article quotes Nora Brossard of the European Travel Commission: “Nowadays, the most sought-after travel operators are those who can bring visitors into direct contact with local culture and people in a meaningful way.”

InTouch has 67 hosts in 10 European countries and tailors its itineraries to virtually any special interest, according to Travel & Leisure. The two InTouch hosts featured in the article are Inga Zivkusic in Croatia and James Lawther's in the Bordeaux wine country. Lawther was also featured last year in Food & Wine magazine's review of the world's top wine guides.

To book Lawther's or Zivkusic's services as a host, or to browse a roster of 75 other hosts around the world for brief but intense programs of cultural immersion, please visit www.intouchtravel.com.

The Travel & Leisure article marks the third time in a year that InTouch Travel—barely two years old—has received national recognition. In addition to the Travel & Leisure and Food & Wine articles, a New York Times survey of cultural tourism referred to the ability of InTouch hosts to connect guests with the “instant buzz” of a community.
