InTouch is still young, but already creating a buzz. Our new concept in travel has sparked more than just a little interest, and below you can find some of what the world's press has to say about us...

Food & Wine magazine, September 15, 2006:
InTouch Travel's James Lawther, M.W.,
named one of world's six best guides for wine tours.
Seattle, WA – September 15, 2006 – Food & Wine magazine's October, 2006, issue features an elite “short list” of six top wine guides in the world's major wine-growing regions. One of them, the English Master of Wine James Lawther, can be booked through InTouch Travel.
“We've had the pleasure of working with James for many years,” said Andrea Nims, founder of InTouch. “He's the ideal host: deeply knowledgeable, immensely personable, and extremely well-connected.”
Freelance wine writer Robert Joseph agreed. “The surest way to have a great experience is to employ a well-connected local guide,” he wrote, referring to James and the five others.
Lawther, a wine consultant who has lived in Bordeaux for over a decade, is also a correspondent for the British wine magazine Decanter.

The Food & Wine article marks the second time this year that one-year-old InTouch Travel has received national recognition. Earlier, a New York Times article on cultural tourism commented on the ability of InTouch hosts to connect guests with the “instant buzz” of a community.
InTouch Travel is based in Seattle, Washington. Company founder Andrea Nims, born and raised in Germany, studied Business Administration with an emphasis on tourism, and worked for tour operators in Germany, the United Kingdom and Mexico before moving to the United States. For eight years she worked for a company specializing in luxury wine and food vacations in France. “I learned that many American travelers missed getting to know local residents, and that there was a growing interest in traveling for personal enrichment.”
